1. Who we are

RaceDayCast (racedaycast.com) is provided by SMSpass AS, organisation number 990 872 732, Viulveien 303, 3514 Hønefoss, Norway (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@racedaycast.com. By using RaceDayCast you accept these terms.

2. The service

RaceDayCast estimates how the course, weather and race situation may affect your race time, and gives you a pace plan. You can use parts of it without an account, more with a free account, and everything with a paid plan (see Pricing).

Estimates, not guarantees. All times, splits, weather data and training paces are estimates based on models, forecasts and third-party data. Forecasts change and models are simplifications. Your result depends on many things we cannot know, such as your form, health, fuelling and how you feel on the day. RaceDayCast is not medical advice. Always listen to your body, follow the race organiser's advice and stop if you feel unwell – especially in heat.

3. Your account

• Give correct information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One account is for one person. Don't share your account or paid access with others.
• You can delete your account at any time in My account → Profile.

4. Paid plans: RaceDayCast Plus and Race Pass

• RaceDayCast Plus is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Race Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks the full plan for one race edition.
• Plus also includes training features: planning runs with the forecast, uploading runs and races (GPX/FIT) for a weather-adjusted pace, and My times. Features marked “coming soon” (such as connecting with Strava) are not part of what you pay for until they are released.
• Free race: a free account can unlock one race edition of your choice with everything included. You choose it once, and it can't be moved to another race or edition later.
• Prices are shown on the Pricing page. Prices include VAT where it applies. We may change prices for future periods; we will tell subscribers before a change takes effect.
• Free trial: RaceDayCast Plus starts with a 14-day free trial. You add a payment method when you start, but you are not charged until the trial ends. If you cancel before that, you pay nothing. When the trial ends, the subscription continues automatically at the price you chose.

5. Payments through Paddle

Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders: Paddle sells the plan to you, takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles VAT, refunds and payment questions. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the purchase. We never see or store your card details.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse RaceDayCast. For example, don't try to get around access limits, copy or resell our plans or data in bulk, scrape the site or API, overload or attack the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. Our content and yours

RaceDayCast, its software, models, texts and design belong to SMSpass AS or our licensors. Course, map, weather and elevation data come from the sources named on the site and remain theirs. You may use your plans for your own racing and training and share them personally. Content you send us (for example a race request or a GPX file) stays yours; you allow us to use it to provide and improve the service.

8. Availability

We work to keep RaceDayCast running and accurate, but we can't promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that a given race, forecast or data source will always be included.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paid account without a breach on your part, or stop offering a paid plan, you get a refund for the unused part of the period.

10. Liability

We are not liable for indirect losses, or for the outcome of a race or training session based on our estimates. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters for paying customers, we will tell you before it takes effect.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If we can't solve a complaint together, consumers can contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the courts where they live.
